This site is the home of the Southeastern Stamp Expo and the Southeast Federation of Stamp Clubs.  The SEFSC is a non-profit organization that runs the expo each January.  This site contains all the details about the show that visitors will need, but also serves as an information portal for the member stamp clubs that make up the SEFSC.

The Southeastern Stamp Expo is a national stamp show that is part of the World Series of Philately series of shows sponsored by the American Philatelic Society.  It is held annually the last weekend in January and features a dealer bourse, philatelic exhibits, seminars, the United States Postal Service and the Stamp Explorers youth area.  The show is managed by an Organizing Committee selected by the board members of the Southeast Federation of Stamp Clubs.
The sponsor of the Southeastern Stamp Expo is the Southeast Federation of Stamp Clubs.  The SEFSC is made up of 22 stamp clubs and philatelic societies in Florida, Georgia, South and North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Maryland and Massachusetts.  The SEFSC is a Federal 501 (c) (3) charitable organization whose board consists of four elected officers and one representative from each member club, who manage the federation according to its bylaws.  The SEFSC is an affiliate of the American Philatelic Society (APS #1426-164386).  The SEFSC supports the hobby of Stamp Collecting through philatelic education in the Southeastern region of the United States.  Principal among these activities is its sponsorship and oversight of the Southeastern Stamp Expo.

Current officers of the SEFSC are:
      Charles J. O'Brien, III, President
      Steve Swain, Vice President
      Cass Rejent, Treasurer
      Foster Miller, Secretary

Key Advantages of Federation Membership:
  1. Each member of the Federation will have a page (or pages) on the Federation’s website (http://www.sefesc.org) to provide information about their club or society, meeting place and times, and other related philatelic items.
  2. As such, a member club or society does not need to bear the expense of having a club-specific website. The reasonable annual membership dues are a significant benefit in this regard.
  3. Access to our website is not limited to only members of the Federation. As such, presence on the Federation’s website can provide an important vehicle for attracting new club or society members.
  4. Each member club or society will have access to the entire Federation’s website to view or download postal history research, presentations, exhibits, articles, and upcoming show information posted by their club or society as well as by other members of the Federation.
  5. Each member club or society appoints a representative who will have voting rights for governance of the Federation, can participate in the planning of the annual Southeastern Stamp Expo and can nominate individuals for the prestigious Rowland Hill award (a lifetime achievement award) presented each year at the Southeastern Stamp Expo.
  6. Each member club or society can have presence at the annual Southeastern Stamp Expo to promote their club or society, hold an annual meeting, etc.
