Annual Dues: $25/year, prorated throughout the year for new members.
Club History: The Cobb County Stamp Club was organized in 1979, during a stamp show held at the South Cobb Mall sponsored by the Atlanta Stamp Club. The founding members were Jim Jordan and John Kovalski. Since then the club has grown to over forty members. A good number of our members are also members of other stamp clubs in the Atlanta area, all of which are members of the Southeast Federation of Stamp Clubs. Our club is also a member of the American Philatelic Society (Chapter #118815).
Throughout the years our Club has had many past presidents, with some serving more than one year. Among them were Jim Jordan, Lindsey Garrison, Frank Fogle, Jim Hart, Bill Beck, Holly Hart, Susan Solida, Paul MacDonald, Jim Wentzell, Neil Boatwright, Jerry Goldoff, and Cass Rejent.
We are sometimes thought of as "the Marietta Club," but the truth is we have members from all over greater Atlanta. Our Sunday meeting times are unique among area clubs, and provide a more convenient day for many members.

Membership includes a wide range of experience and collecting interests, from worldwide dealers (with over forty years of experience), to persons that only collect a specific country, to novices. All are welcome.
Many times, we host people who have inherited stamp collections and wish to have them evaluated. While we're not professional appraisers, we can tell you whether it's worth something or not, and how you might dispose of it. Regardless, you are welcome to contact our Secretary, Peter den Boer, at 3241 Eagle Watch Dr., Woodstock, Ga. 30189 to inquire about bringing by a collection and having us look at it.
Regular meetings are held on the 3rd Sunday of each month (except for conflict with other stamp shows and holidays). Our meetings start promptly at 1:30 PM with about fifteen minutes of club/SFSC business matters, followed by discussions and sharing of information about recent stamp shows, events and noteworthy items associated with stamp collecting and philately in general, and then either a presentation by a member showcasing a stamp collecting topic or activities such as "show and tell", "what is this stamp?", "swap and trade", etc. At the end of each meeting is an auction of items for sale by the members (there are no commissions for either the buyer or seller).

Steve Swain Receives the 2026 APS Nicholas G. Carter
Volunteer Recognition Award for National Service
Congratulations to Steve Swain as the 2026 recipient of the APS Nicholas G. Carter Volunteer
Recognition Award for National Service.
The award recognized the outstanding efforts of American Philatelic Society volunteers at the national, regional, and local levels, and also recognized younger members whose contributions
and abundant talents are crucial to the future of the hobby.

Steve’s numerous articles and columns have appeared in, among others publications, the Postal History Journal, Georgia Back Roads, La Posta, The American Philatelist, Linn’s Stamp News, Airpost Journal, First Days, U.S. Stamp News, Mekeel’s & Stamps, The Philatelic Communicator, The Circuit- International Stamp Collectors, Stamp Insider, Georgia Post Roads, Florida Postal History Journal, Pennsylvania Postal Historian, North Carolina Postal Historian, and several other regional and state philatelic publications.
Congratulations again to Steve Swain for a well-deserved award.
